OK is it just me or are the majority of Zambians (including myself ) non chalant about politics and how they affect us and our stay. It recently dawned on me that i have been living here for a while now, might have taken a government class or two eons ago...when asked what is really going going on , ie the primary, what a popular vote is ,the delegates and all i am clueless. I am not ashamed to point out my ignorance. Also i think we really dont care because we dont get to vote however it would be useful to know what sgoing on lest we are given an opportune moment to influence someone who can. some issues some of these candidates stand do affect us, such as what plans they have in stall to deal with immigration issues, healthcare and the suffering economy..so please any one out there who can simplify the voting system for me in america, plus what these candidates stand for so far in a nutshell i came up with this
democratic candidates- obama and clinton
republican-that old man lol
their stance on healthcare-OBAMA assures us all americans will have affordable health coverage, and premiums will drop
CLINTON-Same thing but its portable(ie when you switch jobs)
OLD man-same thing
their stance on immigration-OBAMA intends to crack down on the verification of being able to work here, by actually speeding up on the fbi background checks..wow CLINTON she plans to and make a path to earned legal status for those who are here, working hard, paying taxes, respecting the law, and willing to meet a high bar.(I LOVE THIS)and actually i was suprised at this the old man actually impressed me the most , he realizes that this very country we live in was founded by immigrants and plans to keep it that way if i may cite this **Recognize that America will always be that "shining city upon a hill," a beacon of hope and opportunity for those seeking a better life built on hard work and optimism. ***
so without straying from my main point, what do i need to know about how i can ensure McCain wins this election lol HELP
